The Bulgarian ensemble in rhythmic gymnastics started the new season in the most convincing way possible.

With a total score of 34.650, the Bulgarian team took the gold in the all-round phase after brilliant performances in the two routines, Gong.bg reported.

Last year, Reneta Kamberova, Mihaela Maevska-Velichkova, Tsvetelina Naydenova, Tsvetelina Stoyanova, Hristiyana Todorova became world champions in the all-round phase at the Izmir Championship in Turkey, creating a world sports sensation.

The Russian team took the silver medals in Moscow after making several rough errors in the compositions.

Israel took the third spot with a total score of 33.400.

The team finals in separate routines will be held on Sunday, and the individual competition is scheduled for Saturday, where Bulgaria will be represented by Mariya Mateva and Yoana Nikolova.
