Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva stated on Friday that in its first three months the government has managed to overcome the international isolation.

Kuneva announced this during the press conference at which the deputy prime ministers gave account of the government's first 100 days in power, daily Sega reports.

The Deputy PM pointed that the three visits of high-level foreign officials in the space of a week were an attestation for the government's achievement in this direction.

In January, Bulgaria was successively visited by British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, US State Secretary John Kerry and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Kuneva added that the European Commission (EC) has similarly demonstrated increasing support towards the Bulgarian government.

She interpreted the Commission's latest report under the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM) as a sign for support on the path of reforms.

As regards the presence of four deputy prime ministers in the government, she pointed that the present EC has five vice-presidents with only one of them having a concrete portfolio.

In her opinion, the Bulgarian government similarly has only one deputy prime minister entrusted with a concrete portfolio, while the remaining three have coordinating functions.
