Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz is to arrive in Sofia Thursday at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart Daniel Mitov.
Mitov and Kurz are to discuss bilateral relations, as well as topical issues on the EU and international agenda, stressing energy, the EU prospects for the Western Balkans, and the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East, according to the press office of Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry.
The two foreign ministers are also to sign an agreement between the two governments on cooperation in the spheres of culture, education, science, and youth.
Mitov and Kurz are to give a joint press conference after the meeting.
Sebastian Kurz, born in 1986, is the youngest foreign minister in the EU.
He has been Foreign Minister of Austria since December 2013.
Prior to becoming Austria's Foreign Minister, he was of State Secretary for Integration.
He is a member of the Austrian People's Party (?VP).
