Bulgaria: Bulgaria’s Govt Allocates State Guarantee of BGN 1 M for Exhibition at the Louvre

Bulgaria’s government has adopted a decision for a state guarantee worth BGN 1 M for the Bulgarian exhibition at the Louvre in April 2015.

The allocation of a state guarantee for such purposes is common practice within the EU, according to the Bulgarian government.

The measure also helps reduce the expenses for the organization of exhibitions and stimulates bilateral cooperation between the museums, according to the media statement.

Exhibits from 17 Bulgarian museums will be included in the exhibition, including the National Museum of History, the National Archaeological Institute and Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, as well as a number of Bulgarian regional and municipal museums.

The exhibition "Epopee of Thracian Kings: Archaeological Finds in Bulgaria" will be on display from April 15 to July 20, 2015 at the Louvre.
