Bulgarian Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski ordered the increase of the level of security at transport centres such as airports, ports, bus and railway stations.

These new measures are also applicable to distribution centers handling postal shipments and parcels of Bulgarian Posts, electronic daily Dnevnik reports.

These steps are taken as preventive measures and the managers of transport companies are responsible for carrying out an additional training of security employees to raise their attention for passing passengers and cargo.

The centres handling the distribution of postal shipments have to carry out more checks on the contents of packages.
