Following a record price decrease, gasoline and diesel have reached a price tag of BGN 1.99 per liter at filling stations in Bulgaria.
It has been years since prices of diesel and gasoline were the same, according to reports of private Bulgarian TV station Nova TV.
The latest price decrease was registered one week ago, when gasoline sold for BGN 2.10 per liter and diesel had a price tag of BGN 2.06 per liter.
Experts believe that prices of the most common fuel types in Bulgaria are expected to keep dropping due to the plummeting crude oil prices.
In a year’s time, the prices of the most common fuel types dropped to their rates of 5-6 years ago.
Since the end of summer 2014, fuel rates fell by over 15%.
The steep price decrease is expected to stop, with prices settling at a certain level for at least a year.
A minor price increase is expected in the summer of 2015as many people will head to summer vacation hotspots.
