The European Union (EU) grants BGN 1.4 million to Bulgaria for the integration of immigrants from non-EU countries.
The funds have been provided by the European Fund for the Integration of Third Country Nationals, private bTV station reports.
The Employment Agency explains that the funds are to finance 20 approved contracts for integration projects of immigrants.
The main goal of the scheme is to provide opportunities for trainings in Bulgarian language, history, civic orientation, and the development of measures for monitoring and assessment with the aim of improving the integration environment.
