This marks the third consecutive election in which "We Continue the Change" and "Democratic Bulgaria" have joined forces
The Patriotic Front (PF) is to gather at a consultative council at which to decide whether to withdraw its support for the coalition government of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.
This was announced by the co-chairman of the PF Valeri Simeonov in front of journalists in the Parliament, reports Darik.
Simeonov said that the council is to take place in a location different than the National Assembly.
It is expected that at the meeting the Patriots will discuss whether to withdraw their support for the government due to their disagreement with certain appointments in the executive.
The PF requested the resignations of the Deputy Minister of Defence Orhan Ismailov and the District Governor of Sofia Veselin Penev.
Both Ismailov and Penev are from the Freedom and Dignity People's Party, one of the parties constituting the Reformist Bloc (RB).
Simeonov stated that the position of the PF was dictated by factors such as the statements in the party's programme, accountability to its voters, and the fate of Bulgaria.
The co-chairman of the PF reminded that the programme declaration signed between the coalition partners, has to be observed by the government, while the Patriots will ensure that the Cabinet abides to it.
Simeonov added that 70 % of the Patriots' programme has been included in the programme declaration signed by the parties supporting the coalition government.
