Bulgaria will relax the process of issuing visas to Turkish citizens during winter months to give a boost to its tourism sector, the Tourism Ministry said on Tuesday.

Following consultations with the Interior Ministry and the Foreign Ministry Bulgarian consular offices in Turkey have been instructed to issue double and multiple threе-month entry visas to Turkish nationals willing to visit Bulgarian winter resorts.

Bulgaria expects a 10% rise in the number of tourists from Turkey this winter season, Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova said at a meeting with Bulgarian tour operators in Plovdiv.

An increase of 5% each in the number of tourists from Serbia and EU member Greece is also expected, as well as a rise in the number of tourists from Macedonia and EU member Romania.
