Bulgarian Parliament Votes to Exempt Bulgartransgaz from Gazprom Fees
The National Assembly has enacted changes exempting "Bulgartransgaz" from collecting a new fee imposed on "Gazprom" for gas transit through the Turkish Stream pipeline
The launch of the construction works for the underwater section of the South Stream gas pipeline has been postponed by a month, according to a Gazprom official.
Vladimir Markov, head of Gazprom’s general relations department, informed at a press conference on Monday that all preparatory works had been completed and the construction had been scheduled to start on December 15, adding that the date was not final.
Markov explained that the exact date depended on the readiness of the pipe-laying vessel and its arrival in Russian waters.
He assured that the gas pipeline would be built on time.
Markov, as cited by Interfax, suggested that the sanctions against Russia were unlikely to affect the construction of the underwater section of the conduit.
