Record Winter Tourism Numbers Reported in Bansko
Bansko, Bulgaria's premier mountain resort, experienced a surge in winter tourism, with more than 190,000 visitors flocking to its slopes during the season
Bansko has been declared Bulgaria’s best winter resort for a second year in a row in an online vote for the 2014 World Ski Awards.
Bansko’s award was announced by Ivan Obreykov, Marketing Manager of Ski Center Bansko.
Obreykov told the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency that he had been given the prestigious award at an official ceremony on Saturday at the Austrian resort of Kitzb?hel.
Obreykov said that the award was a great achievement for both Bansko and Bulgaria.
