Issues can be found with nearly all projects conducted under Operational Program Transport, Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said on Friday.

Borisov warned he was "not optimistic" about the developments with frozen EU funding, but added he would be able to give more information after a visit to Brussels he is planning for next week.

He also said the ministers who earlier this week discussed the prospective unfreezing of millions-worth in EU funding had not succeeded to talk Commission representatives into unblocking the money.

While inspecting the construction of Sofia's red line a the Alexander Malinov station (where works are currently under way), Borisov told reporters all projects were suffering delays, except for the metro which could see additional grants under OP Transport in April 2015.

In Borisov's words, both extensions of the red line (the one to Mladost 4 district, leading to Business Park Sofia, and the one to Sofia Airport) are to be ready by that time.

Officials had previously announced the Sofia Airport station would be ready in April.
