Bulgaria’s government will grant Ukraine humanitarian aid of EUR 50 000.

The funding will be provided from the official development aid allocation under the central budget.

The aid aims to alleviate the difficult social and economic and humanitarian situation in the country

The funding will be provided via the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The aid will be officially announced during the Ukraine donors' conference in December.

Bulgaria’s participation is an expression of its commitment to the joint efforts of the EU and the international community to help Ukraine.

As of 2015, the funds for official development aid and humanitarian aid will be earmarked under the budget of the Foreign Ministry under the State Budget Act, according to amendments to a decree of the council of ministers from 2011 on Bulgaria’s policy on participation in international development cooperation.
