Bulgaria’s “Struma” and “Hemus” highways will be completed in four years, said Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova in an interview for the 24 Chasa daily.
„There is money from the Transport and Infrastructure Programme only for Lot 3 of Struma highway – the Kresna gorge and the tunnels,“ Pavlova said.
According to her, currently the ministry was drawing the blueprints and was expecting the environmental impact evaluation. “We are seeking the optimal combination of economically feasible and ecologically safe,” Pavlova said. “Thus we will lower the price of the project and will use the money to continue with the “Hemus” highway.”
