Bulgaria: Bulgaria, Romania To Attract Asian Tourists With Joint Efforts

Bulgaria and Romania will develop joint tourist projects to attract more tourists from China, Japan and India, said Bulgaria's Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova after a meeting with Florin-Nicolae Jianu, Romania’s Minister for SME’s, Business Environment and Tourism.

According to Angelkova, the projects will focus on joint projects in the Danube region.

Meanwhile, Angelkova told journalists that in 2013 Bulgaria was visited by 940 000 Romanian tourists, out of almost 7 million foreign tourists. According to data of the National Statistics Institute, this year the number of Romanian tourists decreases and is 750 000.
