Bulgaria: 5.1-Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Western Greece

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale rattled western Greece in the early hours of Sunday.


The quake was registered at around 1.15 am on Sunday, according to local news agencies, as cited by the Bulgarian National Radio.


According to the Athens-based Institute of Geodynamics, the epicenter of the earthquake was located west of the island of Cephalonia at a depth of 5km underwater.


There have been no immediate reports of damage or injured people.


The island experienced a 4.7-magnitude jolt Friday evening.
