Bulgaria to Draft Anti-Hybrid War Strategy
Bulgarian Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev has said authorities are planning to develop a national strategy to counter acts of hybrid warfare.
Bulgaria's security services have not provided any information about citizens of the country fighting on the side of Islamic State (IS), caretaker Prime Minister Georgi Bliznashki said Monday.
Bliznashki, however, asserted he needed "data from the Defense Minister" to state a clear position on that matter.
His comments followed statements made by Defense Minister Velzar Shalamanov, who announced last week there were Bulgarians fighting for IS and demanded a meeting of ministers with security officials to discuss the situation.
