All votes have been processed as of 6.30 PM on Monday, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced a day after Bulgaria's early elections were held.

Results show GERB leads with 32.67%. Second comes the Socialist party (BSP) with 15.40%, followed by the DPS – 14.84% - and the Reformist bloc - 8.89%.

The Patriotic Front has so far received 7.28% of the votes, Bulgaria without Censorship gets 5.69%, Ataka - has 4.52% of all ballots, and ABV 4.15%, just below the threshold.

The figures mean eight parties are certain to enter the 43rd National Assembly, as most of the exit polls showed minutes after voting ended on Sunday.

As for votes from abroad, a total of 135 000 living outside Bulgaria went to the polls.

With 99.30% of all their ballots processed earlier on Monday, the DPS had a clear lead with 43.82% among expats, while support for GERB stands at 27.94 percent. The Reformist Bloc can count on 11.19 percent.

Turkey has the largest share (60 090) in expat votes. About 14 000 Bulgarians voted in the UK, some 10 000 in Spain and that many as well in Germany.

Voter turnout, though yet to be finally calculated, is projected somewhere between 49 and 50 percent, with 3 443 226 voters in Bulgaria and 135 000 abroad.

Thirty-four percent of voters used the preference tool, voting for a specific candidate in an attempt to rearrange party lists.

It is yet to be unveiled later this week whether their action has influenced the final order of MP candidates.
