Bulgaria's Central Electoral Committee (CEC) warned that taking of photos in the polling stations is forbidden, reports the Darik national radio.

During an information campaign for the upcoming early elections this Sunday in the University of Mining and Geology in Sofia, Aleksander Andreev, spokesperson of CEC told the students that taking of selfies in the voting booth is strictly forbidden and if someone is caught doing it, their vote will be annulled.

“There are many people who wish to take photos of themselves voting, but this is considered by the law a proof that someone voted for such-and-such party and this is forbidden,” he said.
