Bulgaria's interim Deputy Prime Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva has announced the Finance Ministry is negotiating on a new loan from the European Investment Bank.

The EUR 800 M would be earmarked for ongoing infrastructure projects.

These include the construction of the road between Vidin (in northwest Bulgaria) and the Hemus highway, the stretch between Sofia and Kalotina and part the Sofia ring road's southern arc, daily Sega has reported.

Zaharieva added Bulgaria was to receive EU funding to complete Hemus and a tunnel under the Shipka peak under the Operational Program Transport.
