Some 64,000 Bulgarian children will go to school for the first time on Monday, September 15.

The cost for preparing a child for school ranges between BGN 150 and BGN 250 this year, Nova TV notes.

The new school year will start with unfinished repairs in over 50 schools throughout the country. However, the Ministry of Education has vowed that the first school day will not be delayed in any of these schools.

After the floods, one of the worst affected schools will open doors for the first day of school. The Humanitarian High School in Dobrich has been completely renovated for September 15. The repair cost over BGN 180,000.
