Bulgaria's GERB party will not succumb to revanchism if it wins the elections, leader Boyko Borisov said in his speech at the launch of the party's election campaign, Sunday.

"I was considering the direction in which to lead the party,” Borisov said as quoted by private TV station BTV. “Will we have the power and the capacity to govern better? They – DPS (Movement for Rights and Freedoms), BSP (Bulgaria's Socialist Party) and Ataka would still be in office if things were better. I am sure they want to take office, but they can not,” he added.

Former Interior Minister and head of GERB's election headquarters Tsvetan Tsvetanov then called the party "the national team of Bulgaria" and Boyko Borisov – "a center-forward".

"GERB has a leader who can lead the whole team. Once we have such a leader in the center right, I do not know why we can not unite to find the right path. We have a leader, a Prime Minister who will have a second mandate,” Tsvetanov claimed.
