Bulgaria is seeking to regulate transport connections with Kosovo through a new Agreement on International Road Transport of Passengers and Cargo.
Bulgaria's Transport Ministry believes that it is necessary to facilitate the creation of a regulatory framework applicable to the bilateral relations with Kosovo in the sphere.
The Agreement is to legitimize applications for permits for the transportation of cargo and for opening a regular bus line between Bulgaria and Kosovo, according to reports of econ.bg.
Apart from that, Bulgaria's government is working to develop an agreement on cooperation with Austria in the sphere of culture, education, science and youth as a basis for negotiations.
The document is to help enhance contacts between the two countries on scholarship programs, language learning, exchange of lectors, cooperation between universities through the creation of the European University Area, etc.
The Bulgarian government also approved a project for cooperation between Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary and Austria on facilitating the cross-border enforcement of financial penalties for violating road traffic rules. The project envisages a minimum set of personal data which will be subject to data exchange. It also includes provisions on personal data protection.
The Cabinet also adopted a decision to propose to the President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) to appoint Nina Stavreva as Vice President and Gergana Beremska as Deputy Governor of the Bank.
