Peter, what if not to believe fully (as You, judging by Your text, obviously do) the MainStreamMedia "info"?
Let me answer, item by item:
(1)"the separatists are hampering...the investigations"---and how? Any fact? Look, Malaysia Boeing MH17 crashed on Thursday, July,17, at~13:21 GMT, right? On Friday the OSCE' team was already on the spot, near the Garbovo village. It's about "hampering". Next: today is Sunday,20, but where are the intl experts? They are in Kiev, Peter. Why? “We don't feel like there is enthusiasm among the international community and experts. Several dozen experts are currently in Kiev. Can they please come here faster? We are surprised and frankly angered that we have to keep the area untouched while we are waiting for them for so long” /Donetsk People's Republic PM Aleksandr Boroday/. Any idea, Peter? What if to ask those "central authorities" in Kiev?
(2)"they should be man enough to take their responsibilities and those of their actions"---right. And taking into
account the above, I'd remark that the slowness of Kiev puzzles. No? "The eyes of most of the rest of the world" DON'T see the obvious? Why are those damned-honorable Experts still in Kiev?
(3)"Putin has a major part to play in this"---really? And how? (a)By "standing up, showing his statesmanship by condemning the action"? You want Putin to join those idiots (Poroshenko, Australian PM, Mr.Cameron, sorry) who clearely "hinted" already at the "responsibility of the supported by Russia "rebels"? Isn't it too early, Peter? Or the vial with a white powder in Powell' hands teaches nothing?.....(b)By "pledging his[Putin] full support for the investigations"? Done, Peter: “The crash of a Malaysian Airlines plane in eastern Ukraine must be investigated thoroughly and objectively” (author: Tsar Putka)
(c) by "proving it by his actions not just his words"--what if to replace pathos by concreteness? All "actions" now are to force Kiev:-to stop bombing South-East, at least for the period of the investigation
+ to submit to the intl experts ALL the data about MH17 flight over Ukraine (and to force Kiev it is just the responsibility of Western Powers, show Your actions, Sirs).
And the last: Today Western Powers act so as they feel that they are permitted free reign to do as they please. And just such behaviour, Peter, make them a Pariah States in the eyes of ALL normal people, I'm сonvinced.
Solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant / ~they make a desert, and call it peace/.
There is nothing worse than Civilized Barbarians, Peter.
The ongoing tragedy here is that the separatists are hampering (and maybe tampering) the investigations into what actually happened, also access to the dead. It doesn't matter what side you favour in the Ukrainian conflict the integrity of the dead should be respected and honoured, if this means embarrassment or shame to parties or individuals then so be it they should be man enough to take their responsibilities and those of their actions. Putin has a major part to play in this, he can either stand up, show his statesmanship by condemning the action and pledging his full support for the investigations and proving it by his actions not just his words. The alternative is to lead Russia along a path that will make them a pariah state in the eyes of most of the rest of the world.
