The new teams of doctors from hospitals in Bulgaria's capital of Sofia that will provide help to the city emergency care unit will be set up, Tuesday.
The physicians from the municipal hospitals will work temporarily under civil contracts with the Center for emergency care. Thus, the emergency care teams in Sofia will increase from 11 to 20, Bulgarian National Radio reports.
Some 50 vacancies in the capital's emergency care unit will be announced on the website of the center and the Ministry of Health.
Despite the Health Ministry's promise to provide additional emergency care teams and to discuss an eventual pay raise, employees of the Sofia Emergency Care have been protesting all week, as well as on Monday.
