Iraqi Parliamentary Committee against UN Resolution

The Iraqi parliament will vote on a UN Security Council resolution for disarmament, already blasting it as unfair, as Jordan and Saudi Arabia called on Baghdad to comply with the UN measure. Arab League members Jordan and Saudi Arabia stressed to Baghdad Monday that its compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 1441 was needed to lift the specter of war from the region. And as an Iraqi parliamentary committee recommended rejecting the UN resolution at its Monday meeting, US President George W. Bush continued with his preparations for war. Bush used Veterans' Day celebrations to remind Iraqi President Saddam Hussein the United States was prepared to disarm him by force with or without UN permission.
