Bulgaria's national volleyball team kicks off its campaign in this year's World League with a home match against the United States on Friday.
The Bulgarians will look to build on an impressive 4th place from last year's edition. However, their group seems extremely difficult, with the likes of Russia, Serbia and the United States.
Coach Camillo Placi will not be able to rely on the injured Teodor Todorov and Svetoslav Gotzev.
Bulgaria and the US met in the 2013 World League group stage as well, with each team winning one match.
Friday's match will be the first of two between the teams and will start at 20:30 in Varna's Palace of Culture and Sports.
