At least 6 people were injured and 27 arrested in Skopje in a second night of unrest sparked by after the murder of a teenager in a western suburb of the Macedonian capital.

Local police blocked access to the Albanian-populated Saraj area in a bid to prevent serious clashes.

The protests broke out Monday after the arrest of a 19-year-old suspect, reportedly a member of the country's Albanian minority, for the murder of a 18-year-old high-school graduate in the Gjorce Petrov suburb while he was trying to prevent a thief from stealing a bicycle.

The angry citizens torched dustbins and broke shop windows on Monday.

During Tuesday's protest, stones and metal objects were hurled at police officers. The clashes left a number of police officers injured, police cars were broken, and the crowd attacked shops, cafes and restaurants believed to be owned by ethnic Albanians

Local and central authorities called for an alleviation of tension after the accident in order to preserve the fragile ethnic peace.

THAT IS SO NOT TRUE!!!! How can you write about something when you don't even know what had really happened!!?!? The protest on Tuesday was peaceful, there were a lot of people, old and young, women and men, mothers with children, grandmothers, grandfathers, all of us were standing there with one common aim - A prayer for no more tragedies and violence!!!!! After an hour the police got an order to beat and trample everything in front of them even the small children and women with no motive or a reason for attack!!!! There were so many terrified and scared people who didn't know where to run for their life!!! Doesn't they have children??? Was that order more important than our lives?!!! They should be ashamed of what they did to a normal quiet protest about the tragedy that happened to my friend Angel. He was a perfect boy, just graduated, with lots of plans for his future, with the whole life ahead of him. I've watched him growing up his whole life. He was one in a million!!!My heart has teared apart when i first heard about what happened!!! We don't feel safe in my suburb! For years albanian criminals are killing our people just like that!! THAT HAS TO STOP!!!!! And next time before you write down anything make a research about it and as a real journalist tell the truth to the people not lies!!!!!!!
