Five Dead In a Shooting in Slaviansk
Five people were killed in a shooting at a checkpoint in the Ukrainian town of Slaviansk, reports the Russian channel Rossiya 24.
Another was taken to hospital in serious condition.
Slaviansk is one of the east Ukrainian cities, occupied by pro-Russian separatists.
According to the reports, the shooting started when unidentified cars approached and opened fire on a checkpoint manned by local unarmed residents who are inspecting incoming traffic and watch for approaching Ukrainian army forces. Three of them were killed.
The self defence forces who arrived quickly returned the fire and killed two of the attackers.
According to the Russian channel, in the car were found insignia of the Ukrainian nationalist group Right Sector, explosives and weapons.

Last week the illegal government in Kiev sent tanks to the East to destroy and kill protestors who want self determination.
This decision was announced last Tuesday following Red Sector protests wanting the government to take action.
Sure the government then sent in the tanks and unarmed local people confronted them and stopped violence in most places.
Certainly I have seen on the news channels Right Sector people saying they want to go to the East and kill protestors.
The deal the Uraine government signed says that all protestors illegally occupying government buildings are to dis arm and leave the buildings.
Over the weekend it says this does not apply to the protestors in the maidan in Kiev as they have permission by theKiev council to be there.
They are not taking steps to disarm the Right Sector protestors in Kiev and instead they have found a way to make them legal.
The Kiev government now is clearly supporting the existience of armed groups in Kiev, I guess they cant rely on the army to kill protestors in the East but they know the Right Sektor armed groups will do it for them.
