Ukraine Issues Stark Warning: Third World War if Russia Prevails!
Ukraine's Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal, issued a stark warning, stating that a third world war would erupt if Russia emerged victorious in the ongoing conflict
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke out against the anti-Russian rhetoric that has been persistent throughout the Ukraine crisis.
"In response to our efforts for the observance of international law principles and creation of a universal security system, we have got the policy of spreading the West' geopolitical influence to the East, which has become, in essence, 'a new edition' of the line for containing Russia", Lavrov said, quoted by ITAR-TASS.
"It is enough to recall events of the last few years - a creeping NATO expansion despite promises that they have made, attempts to introduce sanction lists under different pretexts and unleashing an information campaign against Russia recently", the Foreign Minister added.
Despite this, Lavrov sees a possibility for de-escalating the crisis in Ukraine and welcomed the initiative for four-party talks between Russia, Ukraine, the United States, and the EU, which could be held next week.
"We believe that the de-escalation of the Ukrainian crisis is completely possible, but to do so it is necessary to stop imposing facts and stop the legitimization of the 'Maidan government' at any cost."
