Lazio will most likely play with a number of reserves and younger players against Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad in Thursday's Europa League encounter.
The Italians' coach Edy Reja will try out some of his less experienced players in the 1/16 final first leg in Rome, Italian media report.
One of the possible absentees will be the experienced German striker Miroslav Klose, who could be replaced by the 20-year-old Bryan Perea.
On the weekend, Lazio lost 3-1 to Catania in the Italian Serie A, where the team is currently 10th.
The first leg between Lazio and Ludogorets will be on Thursday at 10:05 PM Bulgarian time in Rome's Stadio Olimpico.
