Police in Sarajevo used rubber bullets and stun grenades to temporarily disperse thousands of anti-government protesters on Friday.

Friday saw the third day of protests over high unemployment, rampant corruption and political intertia, according to reports of Al Jazeera.

The wave of demonstrations started on Wednesday in the northern town of Tuzla, where workers took to the streets to oppose the closure of companies sold off by the state.

More than 130 people, including 104 police officers, were injured on the second day of anti-government rallies in Tuzla.

Protesters in Tuzla set fire to the local government building amid clashes with police.

On Friday, protests are to be held in a number of cities and towns to express discontent over the deepening social and economic problems of the country.
