The most significant decreases in the sphere of manufacturing were registered in the production of computer, electronic and optical products by 22.0%, the production of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, by 21.5%, the production of other transport equipment by 13.1%, the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 12.3%, the production of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture; the production of articles of straw and plaiting materials by 10.8%.
Increases were also registered in the production of tobacco products by 17.8%, in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 8.9%, in the printing and reproduction of recorded media by 8.6%.
In December 2013, Industrial Production Index, calculated from working day adjusted data, decreased by 11.5% on an annual basis in the sphere of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, while year-on-year increases were registered in the mining and quarrying industry by 12.8% and in the manufacturing by 1.9%.
Significant annual increases in manufacturing were registered in the production of beverages, up by 18.7%, the production of rubber and plastic products and the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 16.3%, and the production of of machinery and equipment by 14.9%.
Year-on-year decreases were registered in the production of other transport equipment by 21.9%, in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 13.2%, in the production of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, by 8.9%, in the production of electrical equipment by 7.8%.
