New data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) sheds light on the housing landscape in Bulgaria, painting a picture of the majority of Bulgarians residing in older homes.
Bulgarian Foreign Minister Kristian Vigenin has declared that his country hopes to see Ukraine get closer to the European Union.
Vigenin said on Monday that the Ukrainian government and the protesters should find a way to start a dialogue, adding that the country’s association agreement with the EU should be signed in the near future.
The Bulgarian Foreign Minister refused to comment on the ongoing protests in Ukraine, Darik radio informs.
He reminded that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich only spoke of a “temporary delay” in signing the association agreement, which, according to Vigenin, means that the country has not given up on its EU integration efforts.
Hundreds of thousands of people have been protesting in Kiev's Independence Square against the decision of President Viktor Yanukovich and his government to back out of a strategic deal with the EU and seek closer ties with Russia.
