Eight people have been detained in Bulgaria's capital Sofia during Thursday's anti-government protests.
The information, released by the Ministry of Interior, says that they have been brought to the closest police precincts and it will be decided if they will remain in custody or released with warnings.
Policemen have found a wallet with a swastika in one of the detainee's pockets, suggesting he may have been a paid provocateur. Occasionally, members of skinhead groups have appeared during the anti-government rallies in Sofia and caused confrontations with the authorities.
Students gathered on Thursday in front of the Parliament building to protest against a draft new Law on the Ministry of Interior, which they say will significantly curtail citizens' rights and expand the powers of the police.
