Bulgaria’s National Health Insurance Fund (NZOK) will conduct probes into the activities of state and private hospitals.

The aim is to verify that the number of hospitalized patients reported to NZOK by the hospitals during November is realistic.

The fund’s Supervisory Board plans to double the amount of available test strips for diabetics under intensified treatment.

Starting December 1, NZOK will cover fully the specialized treatment of patients with breast cancer.
