The Bulgarian Greens party has voted to leave the coalition right-wing Reformist Bloc.
The decision was taken at a session of the National Committee on Wednesday night. Of the 30 present party members, 16 voted in favour of leaving the coalition, revealed Dnevnik.bg.
One of the Greens co-Chairmen, Borislav Sandov admitted he was slightly disappointed by the result, but accepts it. He hopes that exiting the Reformist Bloc can help the party to focus more on its own agenda.
The Greens vowed to keep their support for the protesters and to work towards a resignation of the current Socialist-led government. They are also drafting a set of anti-mafia measures.
