Protesting Bulgarian stockbreeders clashed with police near the village of Kapitan Andreevo, at the border with Turkey.

The authorities moved in to stop the blockade of the livestock breeders, who were marching on the road connecting Bulgaria and Turkey, reports Standartnews.

There is no official statement on arrests, but it is known that there are no serious injuries as a result of the clashes.

On Wednesday, one stockbreeder was arrested amidst the blockade of the Trakia highway near Plovdiv.

The National Association of Stockbreeders has requested that the Agricultural Minister hears their demands for the full payment of their due subsidies.

If their demands are not met, the stockbreeders threaten with new road blockades.
