Bulgarian liberal party Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) has nominated lawmaker Aliosman Imamov as the Parliament’s new Deputy Speaker.
The move comes after Deputy Speaker Hristo Biserov surprisingly resigned on Sunday.
Biserov also resigned as Deputy Chairman of DPS and expressed his desire be released from his MP seat citing fully personal and not political motives behind the step.
DPS have nominated MP Chetin Kazak to replace Biserov as head of the parliamentary judicial committee.
Meanwhile, it has been made clear that the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has initiated a probe over alleged financial and tax crimes against Biserov.
