Bulgarian Cruise Ship Collides with Concrete Wall in Austria, 11 Injured
A Bulgarian cruise ship collided with a concrete wall in a sluice on the River Danube in the northern Austrian town of Aschach an der Donau, leaving eleven people injured.
Two men and one woman have been killed on the spot early Wednesday morning in a head-on collision in Bulgaria, caused by dense fog.
The accident happened on the road connecting the towns of Kazanlak and Pavel Banya.
Two other women have been taken to the hospital in Kazanlak. Both are in critical condition.
The crash happened after a Fiat automobile attempted to pass several vehicles and collided head on with a pickup truck. Visibility in the area was only about 20 meters. The accident has also caused a significant congestion.
Traffic police warn all Bulgarian drivers to exercise extreme caution as dense fog is reported in a number of locations.
