Kiril Petkov on his Citizenship: I Do Not Feel Any Guilt
I feel no moral guilt towards anyone. This was stated by Kiril Petkov, answering a question whether he would apologize to the Bulgarian people for violating the Constitution.
The Executive Director of Bulgaria's Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre Agency, Alexander Lazarov, handed in his resignation on Wednesday, according to Ivan Dimov, Minister of Investment Planning.
Dimov, as cited by mediapool.bg, did not specify whether a replacement had already been appointed.
Lazarov declined to inform about the motives behind his resignation, adding that he had accepted an invitation to join the Experts Council at the Ministry of Investment Planning.
Dimov told journalists that the repair works of the building earmarked for Bulgaria's new Investment Planning Ministry would be completed on time.
He explained that the appointment of a total of 125 officials was lagging behind schedule.
Dimov said that no candidates had shown up at first because people had been skeptical about the chances of the existing socialist-led government to remain in office for 100 days amid the ongoing protests, but noted that a number of applicants had already sent their documents.
Bulgaria's Cadastre Agency was moved from the Regional Development Ministry to the Ministry of Investment Planning by the socialist-led coalition government of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski.
The Ministry of Investment Planning was spun off from the Regional Development Ministry in July 2013.
