Former Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov (2009-2013) has not given up on social media, as he joined Twitter on Sunday, several days after his Facebook profile was removed.

Borisov’s Facebook page became inaccessible last Wednesday, just one day after the former PM created it. The page was allegedly reported by political opponents.

“As I had promised, I am now also on Twitter. I hope they are happy enough after that provocation on Facebook and will let me communicate with us,” Borisov told supporters in his first tweet, referring to the fate of his Facebook profile.

Tomislav Donchev, a senior official of Borisov’s center-right GERB party, became the former PM’s first follower on Twitter Sunday. Borisov now has over 200 followers, local media inform.
