The approval rating of Bulgaria's major politicians - including President Rosen Plevneliev - has decreased drastically, according to survey conducted by the Gallup International polling agency.

Plevneliev's approval rating has dropped unprecedentedly low since the beginning of the summer, with 30 % of those surveyed believing that his political actions have been biased and unfair, according to the pollsters.

The public trust in opposition GERB party leader and ex-PM Boyko Borisov and his deputy, Tsevetan Tsvetanov, is record low, with most of the public urging for Tsvetanov to resign from his post in GERBs management, Gallup claims.

Bulgaria's embattled Socialist led-government remains in power despite over 65 straight days of massive anti-graft protests in Sofia.

Borisov's cabinet resigned in February amid nationwide protests triggered by high electricity bills and corruption.
