Bulgarian anti-government protesters, who launched on August 3 a long pedestrian march across the country from capital Sofia to the seaside, are on their way to the Evsinograd State Residence.

They are expected to reach the residence, which was their final goal, Sunday afternoon, where they will be met by supporters.

Large riot police forces are already deployed in the vicinity. The very busy main road connecting the Black Sea city of Varna and resorts north from it, including "Golden Sands," is expected to be blockaded in the afternoon.

The main organizers of the march consist of a group of 5 people, who walked on foot over 600 km from the capital Sofia through the second-largest city Plovdiv, on to the city of Stara Zagora in the direction of Burgas on the Black Sea and north to Varna.

Many joined them for portions of the route.

They arrived in Varna through the Asparuhov Bridge Saturday evening and were met by a group of local supporters near the city's main cathedral.

The Evsinograd (Euxinograd) residence near Varna is a top seaside destination for many Bulgarian Members of the Parliament and ministers.

Bulgarians have held record-long protests rallies for over two months now, demanding the resignation of the Socialist-endorsed Cabinet of Prime Minister, Plamen Oresharski.
