Bulgarians protested once again Tuesday by staging the now-traditional coffee-drinking anti-government rally in front of the Parliament building in downtown Sofia.

They announced that as early as Wednesday, the protest will be turning into a "beach revolution" as they are getting ready to appear in bathing suits, carrying beach towels, over the intentions of the Members of the Parliament to go on summer break next Monday.

The protesters further say they are planning to stage rallies at MPs' preferred vacation spots.

It was reported Monday that Bulgarian anti-government protesters are organizing themselves on Facebook to blockade the official State summer residence Evsinograd, near the Black Sea city of Varna.

For the first time Tuesday morning, demonstrators gathered near the headquarters of the opposition center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party, GERB, to drink their morning coffee. The rally was organized by the civic union "Sila" (Strength) which is mainly known as the engine of the rallies against high fuel prices two years ago.

About 50 people gathered there. They explained they wanted GERB to do a better job in the Parliament as an adequate opposition and that they were against the other parliamentary represented parties as well, and GERB being in power again.

They staged a mock football match with the "Bistritsa Tigers" amateur team, which is the team of GERB leader and former Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov.

The morning protest is to merge with the traditional afternoon rally, the 47th in a row, starting 6.30 pm in front of the Council of Ministers building.

The series of the record-breaking relentless anti-government protests in Bulgaria was triggered by the scandalous appointment of a murky politician and businessman to lead the State Agency for National Security (DANS).

Although the appointment was revoked, the people went on to demand that the Socialist-endorsed cabinet of Prime Minister, Plamen Oresharski, resign collectively over ties with oligarchs.

Protesters are also calling for Election Code amendments which will guarantee greater representation of the people in Parliament.

The government, however, is firm it will not resign as it has important tasks to accomplish.
