Bulgarian smartphone fans have another temptation on the market - Huawei Ascend P6, the slimmest in the world for now.
Huawei Ascend P6 is a sequel to the Ascend P2, but it is not called the P3 because the 6 in the title refers to that svelte thickness – 6.18mm.
"Ascend P6 is the latest smartphone that shows our commitment to creating the best high-end products. Europe is a priority market for Huawei and Ascend P6 is just the beginning of the road to our goal - be the best mobile phone brand in the world by 2015,” said Ruki Liu, Managing Director of Huawei Technologies Bulgaria.
Bulgaria is the first Eastern European country where Ascend P6 is presented.
Huawei is the Chinese manufacturer which has been making wireless modems and routers for years and more recently launched its own-brand smartphones. They are known for having high specifications but low prices.
Ascend P6 is believed to be the world’s slimmest phone with dedicated design.
It features a sleek and stylish design with brushed metal finish – packed with 4.7-inch display, 1.5GHz quad core processor, 2GB RAM and 8GB ROM. Moreover, it consists of SD storage expandable to 32GB and 2000MaH battery with intelligent battery saving chip preinstalled.
The Ascend P6 has a 8MP camera which shines mostly because it has advanced scene recognition settings. But the more interesting one is the front snapper which is 5MP, unmatched on other phones.
Other than that, the phone has the latest version of Google’s Android operating system, Jelly Bean 4.2.2, and ticks all the other spec boxes you’d expect, such as the short-range data transfer system NFC, GPS and wi-fi.
The high-end smartphone will be available on the Bulgarian market at the end of July.
