Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, one of the most talented athletes among the upcoming breed of tennis players, scored a second victory at the Skistar Swedish Open.
Though his starts in Bastad this year are shaky, Dimitrov managed to score a second victory on Wednesday.
He dropped the opening set 2-6 against Filippo Volandri before leveling the match by winning the second set 6-1. He went on to win the match, winning 6-4 in the third.
A day earlier Dimitrov defeated Elias Ymer, a Swedish wild card, in the opening round of the SkiStar Swedish Open in Bastad.
The fifth-seeded Dimitrov lost the first set to 17-year-old Ymer, who is ranked 1,032 and was playing for the first time in a ATP Tour-level match.
The Bulgarian pulled himself together in the second set to secure a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 victory.
Last year this time, Dimitrov enjoyed a decent run reaching the Semi-Final of the SkiStar Swedish Open in Bastad, Sweden, ranked world no. 69. He lost in straight sets 3-6 5-7 to then Spanish no. 2 David Ferrer after an hour and 33 minutes.
