Bulgaria’s tennis star Grigor Dimitrov suffered a defeat in the second round at Wimbledon following a thrilling five-set match against Grega Zemlja of Slovenia.

The 29th-seeded Dimitrov saved five match points before Zemlja finally seized his chance with a forehand passing shot down the line and won 3-6, 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-4, 11-9 on Friday.

The clash took place over two days after it was suspended because of rain on Thursday.

Maria Sharapova took a seat in the audience and watched closely the game of her Bulgarian boyfriend, tipped by many as the next big thing in tennis.
