No Bulgarian nationals have been reported injured or arrested so far during the ongoing massive anti-government protests in Turkey, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday afternoon.

The Foreign Ministry has once again advised Bulgarian nationals in Turkey against taking part in the demonstrations.

The Foreign Ministry has also urged Bulgarians to stay clear of the Taksim Square in Istanbul, as well as other dangerous areas of the city between 7 pm and 9 am.

Bulgarian citizens may seek information and help at the country’s diplomatic missions in Ankara, Istanbul, Edirne and Bursa.

Protests have continued in Turkey as demonstrators defied a government appeal to end the widespread unrest.

Police in Istanbul have used tear gas and water cannon against protesters in a fifth night of anti-government demonstrations.
