A blast has destroyed the garage of Valentina Sofronieva, a municipal councilor in Bulgaria’s Black Sea city of Varna.
The explosion occurred at around 10 pm Thursday, causing considerable material damage, according to local media.
No injuries have been reported.
Sofronieva, a municipal councilor from the center-right GERB party, was in her house when the explosion went off.
Sofronieva is chair of the Varna municipal council’s Property and Ownership Committee.
Police are investigating the incident.
